Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: DEATH OF TWO MORE SOLDIERS

Submitted by Ashley (United States), Jun 4, 2007 at 19:08

...are you kidding? do you know how many iraqis are dying comparing to the two dead soldiers? yes, of course im upset too with the soldiers being sent out there cuz it is very dangerous.. but dont think they're the only ones getting hurt. 100's of civilians are hurt each day by the explosions. plus, those people who killed the two soldiers barbarically in the name of allah are extremists. it clearly states in islam killing and torturing is a sin and that in return they should be killed as their punishment as well.

i think its frustrating how terrible these extremists are for setting up a horrible image of islam. i also think that these soldiers dont deserve being sent out to iraq to "defend" their country.. from what? thousands of helpless iraqi civilians coming in? its ridiculous.. basically what i'm trying to say that, of course.. nobody deserves to die like that and what those extremists did was terrible. but i'm also saying that islam is not evil, it was never evil, its just the way it was practiced and the way it was interpreted was evil. the people who twisted the words are evil.

plus.. why are people saying muhammad was a pedophile? sorry its random, but its so annoying.. he was helping aisha cuz she was an orpan .. .he never had sex w/ her and he only took care of her b/c she had no other place for home and food. in those days, it was very very dangerous for a girl to live on her own so he took her in and helped her out.

... who would believe in a religion with a pedophile as their leader? the only wife he did hav sex w/ was khadija.. who's 8 years older than him. and she agreed cuz she loved him and all. jeez.. all the other wives was there just so he could protect them from being hurt. that was the only way he could help them out. < sorry about that whole thing there.. i just had to get that off my chest.
