"A great nation" in the bible means populous not righteous. He never said a "holy nation" like he planned for Israel.

You may believe that the God of the bible is all for Islam but if you delved just below the surface you would see that he is totally against it.True, God promised that Ishmael would become a great nation. He also promised that Israel would become a great nation and also a holy nation. Why didn't God choose Ishmael for holy purposes? Isn't it interesting that God's son Jesus was born on Isaac's side of the family? I want to show you a prophecy that predicts all the trouble that Arabs/Islam would cause the whole world. Genesis 16:11-12 The angel of the Lord also said to her:

"You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man;his hand wll be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."

Wild donkey behavior and hostility are turn offs. Wild donkey type men populate prisons. But those attributes describe millions of muslims. Those words automatically make me think of Iranian president Ahmadinejad. Also remember that Isaac was Ishmael's brother that Ishmael would be at war with. That describes the Arab/Israeli and Arab/America conflicts. Not once in the bible does God approve of Ishmael's behavior. But God was very pleased with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and numerous other descendents on that side of the family. I'm a great believer in truth and what I told you is the truth direct from the bible. I didn't condemn the acts of Ishmael and his descendents. God did. So please let go of any idea that God is a fan of Islam because he is not.
