Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by J Watson (United Arab Emirates), Oct 24, 2005 at 13:48

I would just like to say that before any of us can pass judgement, we should educate ourselves. Educate ourselves not only about, "What we think Islam is all About'; but ask the people. Read their books, Koran, Old and New Testaments. If we do this, use our intellect, instead of loose feelings; (Did you ever say something you wish you could take back to someone you Love in a moment of anger?) which are often based merely on a moment, we would find that all the religions have more in common than they have differences. I am no scholar about any religion but I have sat and listened (Key: listen with an open heart and they to understand, not just hear like a teenager to his mother) to many scholars and found a peaceful and loving side that prevails in the Love of God and the Love of Pleasing God.

At the end each is responsible for his actions alone and will someday answer to God.
