Present Islam is evil

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Ray Adell (United States), Aug 9, 2002 at 08:54

... It is the responsibility of all of us as members of the civilized world to confront the evil that this "religion" represents and the deadly effect it is having on people all over the world. Comparing inciting and gentle passages from the Koran to illustrate evenhandedness of good and evil simply does not make the case for an absence of evil. What is going on in the name of the Islamic religion makes the opposite case. Confronting the present reality is what is needed, not an apology for the religion that is currently at the core of so much of the worlds misery.

The largest responsibility for this confrontation should fall on those members of the Muslim world community who claim to be among the so called "moderates" who seemingly are standing by as evil has appropriated their religion and daily causes death, destruction and mayhem all over the planet. They are either disinclined or are unable to do so. What we hear from them for the most part is a deafening silence. This while their brethren continue to perpetrate mayhem and murder everywhere in the world while crying, ultimate blasphemy, "God Is Great" as they do so.

Not evil indeed!
