What do you suggest we do?

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Adil (United States), Mar 17, 2015 at 21:25

I am a young Muslim in the U.S.A. What do you wan us to do? We are not responsible for abusive slave masters, abusive husbands. Those men are not true Muslims. actually, Mr. Pipes... You are correct. The evil is not Islam. It is what we the Muslims are doing with it. If we actually followed our religion there would be no need to "modernize". If we were truly good Muslims the whole world would be a better place.

P.S. Thank You for letting us post on your website. If I have sounded rude in the past, I do apologize for that. However I do not apologize for the actions of evil cold blooded killers (may Allah punish them).

P.S.S. Mr. Pipes, I kindly ask you to PLEASE respond to my posts. Also dhimmi no more (another poster) is being very offensive and rude. Will you rectify the situation? Thank You!

Daniel Pipes replies:

I believe there is a need to modernize Islam. The understandings of a millennium ago do not work today.
