Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: People know what is evil

I like your reply. Perhaps you don't have religion or adhere to a faith, but it's refreshing to see that you have an open mind about serious matters. You were right when you said that all people have a sense of right and wrong. But one problem is that man has been fighting his conscience for millenia and the recent lawlessness in America and the rest of the world show a marked increase in rebellion.

People who look at the inherent violence of Islam and call it peaceful know better. But their minds are in such rebellion that they are forced to accept all atrocious behavior instead of admit that good and evil do exist and right and wrong exist. Yes, it' a sad state of affairs. I take it that you're not a Christian like me but I don't hold that against you. My God commands me to seek peace and pursue it. I just feel I have to correct one of your statements. God can do no wrong. He is perfect in all his ways. If he wants to send Joshua to kill women and children he has every right to do that. They're all his. God sent the flood and wiped out all mankind except Noah's family that was saved in the ark. My God blesses and curses and it's all good. Even though Christians are commanded to love all men including enemies, that doen't change the fact that God can take or give life as he pleases. I am not at all a fan of violence but the command God gave Joshua was a good one for many good reasons. When God told Joshua (and other leaders of ancient Israel) to in effect wipe out everybody he did it for the safety of his chosen people. God didn't want his people to have anything to do with the pagans that were in the countries surrounding them. God knew that if he allowed the heathen to mix their evil ways with Israel's inspired Word of God that Israel would start doing the detestable things of the heathen like idol worship, sacrificing babies in the fire, orgies, murders, thefts, the occult. ...

Just look at the state of America today. We once allowed the word of God to rule over us and we were strong, prosperous, healthy, civilized and so many other things that pleases God. Now we've run God out of everything and preach that we should be tolerant of all other religions in the world. That is absurd. And look at the HORRIBLE CONDITION America is in. Our nations former glory is fast fading away and Americans have become the most perverted people on earth. We import filth to the rest of the world and call ourselves "good people." No one important, I hope that I don't sound like I'm preaching at you because that's not my job. I just wanted to point out that the God of heaven and earth is righteous in all his ways. But look at the sorry condition of America and I assure that it's because this nation rejected it's God and he is now rejecting this once great nation. Take care....
