all right, Tony, if you are so willing to accept a rebuttal then so be it. inshAllah (God-willing), you will see the light. first off, can you give me base on your argument that Islam is a religion of ignorance? can you give me Quranic verses or sayings of the Prophet (s) that support this? i dont think you can. now, if you are saying that fighting to rid the world of all the corruption that it so readily and hungrily accepts is ignorance, then you not only need to rid yourself of your own bias, but you need a dictionary. it is the ignorance of the West and its media that persuade you to believe your accusations, and some careful reading into the motives behind the sword will show you just that.

in regards to your accusation of "human endeavors", let me first point out that in today's world there is no true islamic nation. no nation follows and implements the Shariah (Islamic law) correctly, and this is because they are so caught up in being puppets of the West. so we cannot say that islamic nations have not contributed because there are no islamic nations. however, if you look through the Quran and Sunnah/Ahadith (actions of the Prophet (s)/sayings of the Prophet (s)) you will find that there are many references to scientific marvels. a simple example i can give you is sleeping. not too long ago scientists said that a newborn should sleep on his/her stomach...they said that that is the most healthy position. let me now go ahead and point out that in Islam, the Prophet (s) specifically downgraded the sleeping on the stomach, saying that it was the position of satan. SubhanAllah, look at recently, those same scientists are just now finding out that sleeping on the stomach is bad for you, that it can stop breathing (in anyone), in newborns, that is called SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). and you look at the Muslims: they have known not to sleep on the stomach for over 1400 years.

in regards to charity, lets make it simple. American Muslims have been very active in Charity, and OVER ONE BILLION dollars were raised from Muslim countries for Hurricane Katrina aid...even the poorest countries donated. i will put a list of them from the following website that shows the numbers in rough estimates....visit the following website for this same information: http://www.amuslimvoice.org/html/body_katrina_relief.html

now, would you like to continue? or have you had enough? when you say "real Islam is being dragged out...", what do you mean by real Islam? if you mean your barbaric definition of terrorism, then let me use your own words against you. you say that the analyzing is done in a manner normal to "modern secular nations". well, my friend, that is exactly what Islam fights to destroy: secularism. the world is but a test and is worth nothing compared to the next life. you (meaning modern secular nations) have become so absorbed in this meaningless world that you have forgotten the true reason you are here: to serve Allah (literaly "THE GOD" in arabic). period. they have arrogantly shunned the word of Allah and are blinded by this world and its pleasures. they are blindly following satan, and that is what we fight against. so your answer is that the analysis from those "modern secular nations" is COMPLETELY biased, and should therefore be thrown out and disregarded. my regards.
