Islam and ...the bible.

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: The religion of surrender

Yesterday a muslim told me that the bible was written by men and therefore it is a fraud, but that Islam is the truth.. What I found interesting was that the bible claims to be the word of God that was recorded by men as they were led by God's spirit. Muhammed claims similar means of communication with allah which led to the writing of the Koran.

Isn't it odd that muslims claim the bible is false and the Koran is real? The reality is that the old testament was written thousands of years before Muhammed was born and the new testament was written centuries before Muhammed. The bible calls some of it's writers prophets and Muhammed claims to be a prophet.

If you presented this analogy to an 8 year old and asked which faith they believe is real, there is no doubt in my mind that the child would say the bible is true relative to the Koran. I need to stop forgetting that muslims are brainwashed into their faith, have no option to leave Islam ever, get their information about Allah from a book that's a counterfeit gospel. Another thing that is true about all muslims is that they have no respect for life, logic, love, the truth, or the rights of others to think and do as they please. Then they are smug enough to believe that all they have to do is say that Islam is peaceful and that we are not supposed to question their authority. Well, I'm question and denouncing Islam for as long as I live. ...
