Incompatibility of Islam and democracy

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Robert Tessier (Canada), Apr 5, 2005 at 05:17

Islam is incompatible with democracy and the West. It has unleashed a Jihad to convert to the Islamic faith all nations conquered . That is, nations of Asia, North africa and Europe. For over 1200 of those 1400 years it has had the advantage with Turkey, as the most powerfull Islamic nation taking the lead after Contantinople. It has besieged Europe 3 times. It is not a religion of peace and toterance but a religion of Usurpation of terrotory and tradition. It may have shown some tolerance in the past but only when tribute had been paid to the Califs (Spain after 711).

It may have preserved ancient writings of Greek history when Europe was passing through the so called dark ages but it is a religion that refused the printing press after Gutenberg until the end of the 19th century. I feel angry when I see a Muslim woman wearing the Hijab where she flaunts in my face this archaic symbol of slavery especially towards woman. I feel that It is my duty to help convert muslims from Islam. It is also my duty to help them to understand my values but not through and unthoughtful and idiotic form of tolerance. For would I tolerant facism in my society. Of course not. And this is what we are asked to do in Canada and in the United States and the rest of the Western World. I encourage non-muslims to read the Coran and to understand the basic evil of the words within.

We are turning our society to resemble the world but the world is in chaos. Is this what we want? Well let's act and do something about this form of facism that is Islam. Muslims need to read the words of the Koran and not only the sound that the words make. To paraphrase Cato the elder of ancient Rome about Carthage "Delenda est Islamii". We will not let them usurp our values and traditions.
