Dear Americans, stand strong!

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Jean (Australia), Oct 15, 2002 at 00:57

I feel sorry for Americans, whenever American forces accidently hit a civillian house, the whole international community screams at them, whenever American forces accidently kill a civillian, Islamic terrorists say how evil America is. Well let me tell you, why does the whole world not act AS angrily when Islamic terrorists destory countless innocent lives, both American and non American? Why are they praised as heroes while the international community just watches as thousands of innocent lives are lost? Why does the world not react when Islamic terrorists do something evil ON PURPOSE? They try to ignore it and make excuses for the acts.

How can America be evil? Even if it may be greedy, who would you like to be the most powerful nation in the world, to look after the world: China? Iraq? Russia? Islamic Terrorists? NONE.

All would do even worse things than America;, all would take away personal freedoms. The world owes alot to America for holding the peace and stability in the world, for not absolutely abusing its power.

Only a few countries truly ever stand with America -- the U.K., Australia and a few others.

Be proud, Americans!
