Islam Is What It Is

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Dear Daniel:

Thank you for your commentary and service to our people. I hope your great success as a journalist doesn't remoderate your politics. Concerning your motives in writing this short on Islam, I am in full agreement. However, wishful thinking about the passing of violent Islam by "education" is sheer fantasy.

Islam is a triumphalist religion believing that all nations must be submitted to the rule of Allah by receiving the Prophet Mohammed, his revelation and successors who developed the Koran. Mohammed established Islam in blood (the blood of many Jews as you must know) and forced submission. Neither Judaism or Christianity (which was a sect of Judaism at it's beginning) has any history like this. Allah was one of many idols present in the pagan arab world at the time of Mohammed. The stone in Mecca that is "sacred" today was worshipped as an altar of sacrifice to false gods as it is today. Psalm 83 speaks of them as they were and continue to be.

Don't be deceived by the lukewarm, benevolent Islam of the past. They are merely returning to their roots. They would treat you just like Pearlman if they could. As Jews we must live in peace with all men where possible, but we cannot allow ourselves to pretend that fundamentalist Islam will go away without being defeated on the battlefied, just as the Christians were when they went on their Crusades.
