Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam
in response to reader comment: christianity and jews are evil

Don't you people ever get sick of tirelessly making the same arguments to one another. Look,

(1) no religion is really evil.
(2) Yes, the New Testament is the most pacifist of the writings. Read the Qu-ran and then read the New Testament and if anybody doubts that Jesus, the poor persecuted Jew, was more belligerent than Mohammed the general, then... I don't know, don't have children PLEASE.
(3) There are 13 million Jews in the world, 6 million in Israel and 1.3 billion Muslims. Find a Muslim that likes Israel and I will find you a man giving away a million dollars. This Israel-Palestine is not black and white one way or the other. The Jews have great reason to be scared and desire to prove their strength. They seem strong, but really they are surrounded by 500 million belligerent, dictator led Muslims who hate them. They are Macchiavellian.
(4) And to the people provoking the Muslims, stop it. Go to a Muslim populated area, they are not a scary and violent people, by and large. There are just as many intimidating Christian, or Post-Christian people as there are Muslim people (in North America).
(5) For you Muslims actually talking on this forum, you are probably in North America or Europe. As long as you don't support the bs Islamic dictators of the middle east or want to see destruction upon westerners, you have nothing to feel guilty about, at least. So why take these guys seriously? Let me tell you about western psychology - guilt is very important. If you are getting angry, it suggests guilt. If you really do want everybody to live together peaceful as whatever religious sect they wish, then just tell these people that you are a Muslim who wants that. Proof that Islam is not evil in and of itself. But don't drudge on a tired point that Christians and Jews are evil. Nobody believes you except fellow radical Muslims and stupid-ass powerless radical anarchical leftist sorts. Neither of which the majority of westerners like. And you two are precarious pair, if you weren't both hated by us, you wouldn't get along.
(6) I must labor on this point: radical Christians like de Valera (to an extent), Bush (his talking to God thing is scary) and many South American dictators are stupid, but they do not define the religion. Nor do radical Muslims define Islam. Ignore those who say that Islam is the world's only salvation. Ignore them when they say that Christians and Jews are evil, these are the radicals. Most Muslims are regular Mo's who just dont drink alcohol, eat pork or desire to womanize. And they starve for a month, pray a lot, etc. But you know what I mean.
