OK Islamists - lets try this tack.

Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

It seems pointless to keep repeating how Islam DOES include so much violence and incredible intolerance. This mantra of 'Islam is a religion of peace' is frankly laughable. Islam is a religion of breathtaking ignorance. Ignorance is its lifeblood. If some collective common sense and independent thought prevailed it would collapse.

I would also like to get some opinions on why Islamic nations are so backward in every human (yes HUMAN) endeavour. Science, medicine, art, music, film, literature, technology, avaiation etc etc. What conrtibutions have Islamic nations made to the common good of man..? (sorry, inventing the suicde bomber doesnt count). Arab nations were at the cutting edge of learning. What happened..?

Also - Whilst many Islamic nations openly applaud when there is another suicide attack or tragedy in western countries - how do you explain the billions of dollars in CHARITY (not to mention government aid) when there is a natural disaster in Muslem lands. Australians alone donated out of their own pockets over 1 Billion dollars for the Tsunami (many Muslem) victims. Similar with the Pakistani earthquakes. They didnt care what religion they were. It is almost inconcieveable that the reverse would occur. OK they are poorer nations - but still the point is clear. I would like to hear some feedback on 'Kaffirs' giving to mulems in need.

real Islam is being dragged out of the closet due to immigration and assimilation issues in western countries. It is being analysed in the thorough manner that is normal in modern secular nations (not Muslems nations - that could be a death sentence)

Islam is not only coming up short - it is downright frightening. Please give me some intelligent answers to my questions. Dont rattle off some meaningless verse from the Quran.
