Reader comment on item: The Evil Isn't Islam

Submitted by Charles Nixon (United States), Jul 31, 2002 at 19:55

You cannot judge any religion by its nominal adherents, but only by those that understand and practice the fundamentals. Take the subject of conversion true Biblical Christianity forces no one to convert, whereas under an Qurannic government you can convert, die or submit to a punitive head tax. Try finding this taught anywhere in the Bible. The Quran teaches that no muslim may be punished for anything done to a non-muslim, whereas the Bible expressly forbids such a double standard. The muslim is taught that Allah is the judge of man, and that the only way to be sure of reaching Paradise is to die in Jihad. The concept of a loving Heavenly Father is utterly foreign to him, along with any notion of hope.
