Thanks, but no thanks

First of all, I have read the Quran. Wasn't impressed. It basically backed up my initial impressions of Islam. You ask why the West has a higher rate of domestic violence. Mainly because, in the West, it's a crime, not a mandate from "holy" scripture. It actually gets reported as such!

I'll stay here in the West where I can worship freely, speak my mind, and marry a man who would never lay a hand on me without fear of prison.
