Fulfillment After Death? Wishful Thinking.

Dear Rich - I'm afraid that life after death is a matter of wishful thinking; a sentiment that has been capitalized upon by religions as a means of controlling a population by taking advantage of inherent people's fear of dying. Note, that I didn't single out Christianity. ALL religions have evolved through the application of fear and threats as a means of promoting an agenda and control. This isn't to say that there aren't people that truly believe it and will do almost anything to make sure that they do have "life after death". There are and they are sincere in their beliefs. Then it becomes a matter of faith, which is about the only way to accept the absurdities of religion and the unanswerable questions such as the one I have as to why there is suffering in the world, children dying of horrible diseases without being given a chance to have a life, etc.

How can one say there is a loving God when evil people are going around beheading people over a difference in religion opinion? Really? Sorry. Can't believe in any being that would allow for sacrifice of the people that he allegedly cares so much about that "he gave his only begotten son". It's inconsistent and as a parent, an absurd belief that anyone would sacrifice their child for any reason.

Enough said. - Good day my friend.
