I fully agree with Stuart Perkins and cannot understand why more people do not also support the same view. The idea of 'God' and monotheism was a creation of Moses and took root in the minds of the gullible as an alternative to a godless existence. Too bad these people were unaware that during the same period (Pharoes' Egypt) Buddhism spread in India and elsewhere without the 'support' of and 'Gods'. Buddhism does not believe in 'Gods' and explained the universe and the relationship of the planets. It is followed even today by about a billion people worldwide, purely on the basis of its rational approach to life and nature. Buddha taught people to believe only what they could understand. In fact, all his teachings are preceded by an invitation to criticize and argue against him. He forbade violence and propagation of his teachings through conquest. Killing of any being, whether human or animal is forbidden. Good Buddhists today are vegetarians. Monotheism, begun by the Jews under Moses carried on to Christianity thanks to the gullibility of people and then to Islam, thanks to the use of force and violence by Mohammed and his followers. ...
