"Jesus did not die for YOUR sins... He died so your sins could be forgiven if you turn to God in TRUE REPENTANCE..."

Actually Jeff, Jesus died for all of our sins, however, not our present ones that we commit to this day. When we sin we refuse grace and refuse Jesus Christ's sacrifice. Jesus died for our original sin, the sin of Adam and Eve. The wide "gate" only "leads" to destruction, there is always penance and a chance to turn back. You are absolutely correct about true repentance, but you must remember that is not the entire story. Jesus' blood sacrifice allowed for judgment after death as well, the departure from the She'ol of Judaism. Dying he destroyed our deaths.

When people say that Jesus died for our sins they are not implying that they cannot sin, or never have sinned, and certainly they are not saying that they will appear sinless in the eyes of God.

"This new covenant by no means did away with the Ten Commandments but it did abolish the punishments for sin because under the new covenant 'christians' are NOT supposed to be sinning, despite what mainstream 'christianity' teaches..."

Does mainstream Christianity teach us to sin? Does it ever teach us that sin is ok? I don't think so! To sin is to refuse grace and thus to refuse Jesus' sacrifice. Also, I have amended your statements:

"In a nutshell..."
Punishments for sin under the old covenant were carried out by man... (pre-Jesus), for it was God's justice that Death is the punishment for sin, not judgement. Life was good and the body was good as deemed in Genesis at Creation. Therefore, our gift was living, not afterlife, and to sin was to have that gift taken away. God works through us in many cases. In this sense, punishments were carried out by God not man.
Submitting....
