Dear Dr Pipes, your reader Nazeem Ali from Saudi Arabia says a few things about Prophet Muhammad that need to be highlighted. Here are they:

Quote 1: "7 women whom were either widowed or were presented as a favor to him"

Nazeem says that 7 women were presented to Muhammad as a favor. Does anyone see anything wrong in that?

Quote 2: "In all his lifetime of battling the non believers, no more than a couple of thousand people were killed."

Nazeem says that in his entire life time of fighting with non-believers no more than a couple of thousand people were killed. Can some one explain why non-believers must be battled with and killed?

"The incident of the Jews in Madina (the 600 or so) whom he ordered be put to death because of their betrayal to the Muslims of Madina and their uniting with the Makkan non believers to kill Muslims of Madina, then that is justifiable. In war, the ally of your enemy is your enemy. No mercy."

Nazeem says that in a war ally of your enemies is your enemy and no mercy should be shown to him. This guideline can lead to some very dangerous consequences. For example, bin-Laden was an enemy of USA. Pakistan and Afghanistan supported Laden at different times. So Pakistan and Afghanistan were allies to USA's enemy. Now it is getting too dangerous to write!
