Evil Proves No God?

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: LIfe after death?

You state that the existence of evil is proof that God does not exist. Does this mean that evil is an invention of man, or a figment of our imagination?

Where do you get the values to judge what is good and evil? From a poll, or based on "normal" behavior, or from what feels good to you? Without God's standard of good you have no basis for judgment.

Your logic is self-contradictory, and contradictory to observable behavior. It certainly clear that people who live lawlessly (even by man's law) have more misery than those who live peacefully with others. Why would that be if there was no design to the universe?

"I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live:"
