Tradition is not Truth.

Pope Benedict has reportedly said that "In the Islamic tradition", Islam is "there for eternity". Note the word "tradition". In the Jewish "tradition" there is no acceptance of Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah. However, it is not the TRADITION that counts, but the Truth. And God alone has the monopoly on that. Therefore, the Pope should feel much more comfortable, if only he could observe his error. It is not Muslim tradition that is the truth, but only the Scripture itself - the Koran. And that is open to the interpretation of men in the current generation.
