Uniformity of Christian Message

Reader comment on item: The Pope and the Koran
in response to reader comment: The Pope needs to bring Catholicism into the modern age too.

The Christian message has always been the same no matter what sect or group. Some eschatologies and histories may differ, but the point of every single one is the same. Jesus Christ taught love and we all know that.

Does every Muslim know that Islam is about love? The answer is no, because there is no uniform message of love. There is only command, and very dubious command at that.

The epitome of Jesus Christ's love is the indeed LACK of Hell within Catholicism. Thats right, there is no Hell. Logically, how could a merciful God FORCE suffering on His creations. Hell is created when we refuse God through sin, and in death, we are separated from Him. Lack of God is Hell.

I must say that the Muslims got the God of Abraham all wrong. He is merciful, so stop contradicting yourselves.

On a further note, Catholics do not think they are the best, and neither does any other group (hopefully). That would be anti-Christian. Catholics look to rejoin everyone united in Christ. Its been done with the Orthodox Church. Please forget the church portrayed in the Da Vinci code, thats not very accurate (see the History Channel).
