The death of God

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: Joe; TRUE REPENTANCE is enough

First of all, it is very evident from your question, that you do not understand concerning the Trinity of God; which simply means God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. When Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and for the sins of the whole world, God did not die. It was only his Son who was giving his life; not the entire Trinity. As you may read in the Word of God, just before the crucifixion of Jesus, He prayed to the Heavenly Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. And when He was on the cross, as He was about to die, He spoke to the Heavenly Father and said, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit." And you must also realize that Jesus did not remain dead; but arose back to life on the third day. If God was dead, who caused Jesus to come back to life. It most certainly was not Satan. For Satan was the very one who wanted Jesus dead to begin with. But praise God, He lives forevermore. And so does God the Father, and the Holy Ghost.
