Moon surface not flat and water not extracted from within

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: More Quranic disasters poor syntax and mistakes in spelling and people that live on the sun and the moon

Submitted by Nasr (Malaysia), Feb 18, 2015 at 11:07

[[Or Did you not see to Allah prostrate who is in the sky and who IS IN: the earth and the moon and the stars and the trees and the beasts and many people

And the beasts? People ride beasts and they prostrate to Allah

What a disaster the Qur'an says that there are people that live on the sun and the moon!

1. قول الم تر الله يسجد له من في السماوات وكثير من الناس في الارض

Or SAY did you not see to Allah prostrate those in the skies and many people on earth

2. The rest of the aya would be a separate aya and it would be as follows

2. قول الم تر الله يسجد له الشمس والقمر والنجوم والجبال والدواب

Or SAY did you not see to Allah prostrate the sun and the moon and the stars and the mountains and the beasts

Hint: this is what your Arab masters called Iltifat or confused Quranic syntax]]

Reread again http://quran.com/en/22/18. Entitites "in earth" " in heavens" are mentioned later on. It is really easy to comprehend. Non-muslims readers too will be able to comprehend it easily. BUT you logic or interpretation is that something is living in والدواب?

من في السماوات ومن في الأرض والشمس والقمر والنجوم والجبال والشجر والدواب وكثير من الناس

[[But more damaging to your case what does this have to do with the fact that Allah says in 79:30 that the earth is flat? Enlighten me please]]

Abu Ya'la in his work Tabaqatal-Hanabilah (Biographical Entries of the Hanabali Scholars) quotes the unanimous consensus (ijma) of all Muslim scholars that the earth is round in 10th century.

If you compare with surface of moon being not flat and water not extracted from within, on the other hand you have earth being spread flat and have source of water extracted from within, you can see the verse is talking about making the earth habitable.

[[So you tell me how come Allah does not seem to know that the main source of water is rain and melting snow!]]

Are you sure? thus Read http://beta.quran.com/en/24/43

[[I thought Allah tells us that the mountains are not fixed and they move like the clouds! He cannot make up his mind!]]

Not really. Read again the verse. What the eyes see is fixed mountain. But they are moving. Meaning earth is moving towards a specific location.

[[What a disaster well if we check al-Tabari he fixed this strange word حصب and tell us that it is really حطب or Hatab or Firewood oh you do not believe me here is al-Tabari's exegesis of this disaster]]

There you go, you jsut answered your own argument. Tabari is explaining the science behind the word. For example Ahad being a hebrew word. Then tafsir will explain the word and also verses of Quran. There is no such thing as fixing the Quran. Only you are arranging your words in that manner. This can be easily explained as you cant digest the idea of having Creator and creations.
