Catholicism completely different than Islam

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: CATHOLICS are NO DIFFERENT

Submitted by Michael Kocian (United States), Sep 19, 2006 at 18:38

Well, some actually consider the 20th century as well. Catholicism and Islam are completely different in their roots. No one in the Catholic Church has lived a sinless life, but Christianity based on Jesus' word and life is the basis for ideal behaviors. In other words, while men have sinned, when they come to know what and Who the Church is based on, they will eventually come around. Contrarily, there is no such hope for Islam, which is based on the teachings and life of a marauder, liar, thief, pillager, and rapist named Mohammad. This is not an insult, but is fact about his life. Mohammad was a sinner, big time! A religion based on the life of a sinful man has no hope of reaching greater heights of enlightenend peace and coexistence when one follows this model of the Islamic faith. It only leads one away from Christ, and into strife, jealousy, and hateful coercion and murder.

Catholicism has never presented the world with the global evil being promoted in Islam today.

It's okay in Islam to lie, so count on Muslim apologists to tell you "Oh, it's just not so." Unfortunately for us and for them, it is so.
