Jesus...the man/the son of God...

in response to reader comment: Joe; TRUE REPENTANCE is enough

Jesus was a man, yes. But also the son of God, for Mary was impregnated without having intercourse with ANYONE. Yep, she was a virgin. Jesus is part of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Yes, he was a man, but he is also part of God. He sits at the right hand of God, the Bible says. It also says in Acts 2:36 this: "So let it be clearly known by everyone in Israel that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified to be both Lord and Messiah!" So, yes, Jesus was a man, but God made him the Messiah when he rose from the dead. If you do not truly believe that Jesus rose from the dead and you call yourself saved or a Christian or whatever, then you need to check yourself because God's true and holy Word says in John 20:9, "For until then they hadn't realized that the Scriptures said he (Jesus) would rise from the dead." This was after Mary Magdelene, Peter and another disciple went to see Jesus' tomb and found there was nothing there except for his burial robes neatly folded and set aside. Another thing the Word says is this in John 20:26-29: "Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, Jesus was standing among them. He said, 'Peace be with you." Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here and see my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don't be faithless any longer. Believe!' 'My Lord and my God!' Thomas exclaimed. Then Jesus told him, 'You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who haven't seen me and believe anyway.' " Thank you, Jesus, for dying for us.
