I'm not sure I agree with you

Daniel--

I have to admit that I'm of two minds at this point about the Pope's views of Islam. My first thought is to agree with you that there is a path for the reformation and humanization of Islam. Unfortunately, after reading the multiple insulting passages in Sura 9 of the Quran, I'm much less inclined to believe that there is anything worth reforming in Islam. If Islam is to grow up and become a religion of the 21st century, some very serious revisions of the Quran are absolutely required. After that, the Hadith, as history, has to be trashed!
