Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: The Ten Commandments

Reading some of the comments on this site, I am amazed by some of the responses of some people. it sounds like some of you are religious fanatics, who should maybe convert to Islam, with your blah blah blahing, about religion, quoting the ten commandments, what are you all vicars, priests, a bit over the top I reckon. (((YES people I am expressing an opinion))), which is also called freedom of speech has anyone else got something of interest to say, other than, going on about something that's a good story book, no scientific proof available, that any of it is true anyway. The Big Bang is the proof of all existence.

How's it put, a leap of faith, yer right, doesn't it seem religion is causing a lot of trouble throughout the world, at the mo, and always have, since religion began, getting fed up of hearing about it, thinking of becoming an atheist. Sick of hearing about it, get a life people, and sod anyone who wants to spoil what time you might have on this planet.

Drink and be merry, bed loads of men and women if that's what floats your boat, try enjoying life while you can, because when the fanatics have their Nukes we can all kiss our... goodbye, because they are going to wipe us off the face of the earth, not just Israel, all of us who preach freedom, and love thy neighbours. what happened to respecting people for their opinions? its getting to a stage where you have to watch what you're saying, otherwise you might offend someone...

Also hasn't everyone noticed how uncivilised some Islamic followers are. Throwing their toys out of the pram again, on the rampage yet again over comments made by a very old holy man, who as far as civilised society is concerned is entitled to express freedom of speech, because like me he lives in a civilised society, called the WEST. Since when were we not allowed to make comments about a race of people who are backward, and vicious, who always respond by getting violent, and make threats of death and destruction instead of being involved in having a civilised, peaceful debate.

Put the shoe on the other foot. they can say what they want about other religions, especially Christianity, and look at the way Israel is treated by some Muslims. Its an absolute disgrace, and no one has the guts to say, hang on, you're wrong, because they are afraid of the repercussions of being attacked by those who say they are peace loving human beings, who seem to only promote violence.
