"recommended books for Ameen"

Plato refers you to books by Maurice Bucaille and Keith L.Moore, and whilst Amazon Books list Bucaille's book "The Bible, the Qur'an and Science: The Holy Scriptures Examined in the Light of Modern Knowledge" and Moore's standard textbook without the Islamic editions, they do not list his book "with Islamic editions," and I comment further on Moore and his book.
In the early 1980s, Professor Keith L.Moore, formerly an anatomist at the University of Toronto, Canada produced a special edition of his embryology textbook, "with Islamic editions."
Keith L. Moore (Saunders, 1982) "The Developing Human" 3rd edition with Islamic Additions
The standard version of which (without the Islamic editions), has been widely used in medical schools around the world. When I last investigated however, the Islamic edition of his textbook was not available even in the British Library or the US Library of Congress, let alone other medical libraries in Western countries, but this may no longer be the case, and the edition of Moore's book "with Islamic editions" may now be widely available.
For your interest, I also refer to a Christian response to Bucaille's book, written by Dr William F. Campbell, and titled "The Qur'an and the Bible in the Light of History and Science" 2nd.edition Middle East Resources, 2002. Amazon Books listing the 1993 edition of Campbell's book.
I'm not on commission from Amazon books Ameen, and mention Amazon only to show the books are readily available, but of course you may have access to them through friends, and may not need to buy them at all. I also mention them to show the large amount of published work you will need to carefully examine, when preparing your paper about the relationship between science and religion, and when you have written it, do please post it on Dr Pipes website, so we can all benefit from your work.
With kind regards and best wishes
