Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: Science and the Quran???

Submitted by Raqib Ahmed Asif (Bangladesh), Jun 23, 2007 at 12:04

Mr. Forgiven asked me to show one verse in the Quran that talks about modern science.

There it is: Do not the Unbeleiver see That the heavens and the earth Were joined together, before We clove them asunder? We made from water Every living thing. Will they Not then beleive? [Holy Qur'an 21:30]

This verse is talking about the Expansion of the universe and the Big Bang Theory. Even though the non beleivers have doubts. Allah has rightly said in the Qur'an: In their hearts there is a disease; And Allah has increased there disease; And greivous is the penanlty they incur; Because they lied to themselves. [Holy Qur'an 2:10]

Let me give you one verse in the Holy Bible that talks about Modern Science. There it is: "Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." [Mark 16:14-18].

If you are truly a Christian then you can survive this test? Same question was asked to Dr. William Campbell, one of the mightiest Christian Scholar. History tells us that even Popes were poisoned to death. I hope you have seen Godfather part 3, how a good christian was poisoned to death. Take care, Allah hafez. Raqib.
