Firts of all i want to tell you, please always refer the verse of Quran you are talking about with its context in which it was revealed on the Prophet Mohammad may PBUH, so that the reader will get a clear picture. that is a very biased thing that one should cort some thing with out its reference to context just to make an empty statement more powerful or meaningful and my friend, i know you cant do that becouse firstly it will then justify why God had commanded a certain behavior at a certain situation which is totally logical and rational . secondly then you cant achive the aim you are trying to get that is to justify that Quran is some how less tolerant than Bible.

now lets talk about the verses you have quoted i will try to explain you with reference to my limited knowledge of Islam And Quran and if that dont satisfy you then my friend it would be purely due to lack of my understanding, not becouse the Quran had not had the answers please remember that i am saying this becouse one biggest misconceptions about Islam is due to the acts of muslims of these days which rarely practice a few commanments of Islam and Quran which totally are same, unlike Cristanity. anyway lets talk about the verses you quoted

now the first verse you had quoted is related to the battle field where God had commanded muslims to shorten their prayers becouse they had a chance of getting attacked by the non belivers in war with muslims in the battle field as they will find them disarmed while they are praying and here God is just Commanding the Muslims to be concious while they are in war no tell me if some one ask you to be careful while you are in war with some one will this make them violent or the person saying that will be violent, but i know in real life you will say that this person is really concerned about my safety and well being i hope you're satisfied with my explanation .

now the second verse you had quoted is where God is warning the beliveers not to be friends with the jew and the christian means if you read the context that God commands muslims to be friends with fellow muslims not with non muslims if they had the option of choosing to make friends. so do you really think this is a violent thing here?

suppose that God commands that you should be friends with the non believers, this will be then against the teaching of Quran and since Quran has no contradictions that just cant be . i will explain it to you with a real life situation in which a father commands its child not to be friends with those who lies, stole, rape, say unethical things that are not in line with his values and believes . will the father be a violent father? no you will say he is a great father as he wants his child to be away from those who had adopted bad habit and bad practices. my dear friend, same is the case here where God commands the belivers to stay away from those who had forgotten the teachings of prophets or who had added certain extra qualities to them just because of their own hearts.

so dear friend, i dont explain you about all verses due to lack of time, but just suggest you to study Islam and Quran with reference and context and its really better if you study the life of Prophet Mohammad so that you should know how much forgiveness and kindness there is in Islam and in the Holy Quran when its a matter of Neighbours or treatment with women , children or poor people or person in war .

my dear friend, i want you to study the life of Prophet Mohammad and his companions to let you know how much tolerance and forgiveness is there in Quran and in Islam.
