in response to reader comment: Why do people convert to Islam?

The reason why people convert to Islam is because they find inner peace in which other religions fail to show and leaves you with questions. The Quran which you have obviously not read is the most breathtaking piece of literature that only a higher being could have ever devised. In this story you use words such as 'open militancy' , 'subjugation', and 'inter-war'. The word Islam itself means peace in saying this you have undoubtly been mislead by the media and the false messages that suicide bombers portray. The women of Islam are not in "subjugation' as you imply, either. Yes many cultures do show women as the inferior but in the Quran it does not use words like sin to describe the female race.
