Growth of Christianity in Africa

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Submitted by An African (United Kingdom), Aug 29, 2005 at 11:52

I have little comments to make. However I know for sure that christianity is thriving in Africa becuase the people of poverty. Nigerians move in droves to churches in search of miracle when they are supposed to be working to earn a good living. A pregnant woman who fails to delievr on her due date refuses to seek orthodox medical attention but would be happy to go to priests of churches to seek deliverance. All these are happening because most africans are not duely engaged in useful jobs to develop their societies.
No doubt that there are thousand of churches in Nigeria, the big question is what have they all achieved with respect to developing the country.
