Yes, I have been bothered

in response to reader comment: I have a sincere question

Yes, I have been troubled reading some of the actions taken by the Prophet of Islam, Mohammad, peace be upon him. No one has evern been able or had enough courage to tell me why he married a nine year old girl, while he was 54 years old man. Don't tell me because he wanted a good relation with the father of the bride, Abu-bakar. They were already best friends and in full harmony.

Another of his actions that I cannot understand is why he had to have up to 19 wives while all other Muslems were limited to four? But the most troubling action of his was when he and his army surrounded the residents of Bani Ghoraiz, a Jewish tribe, forced them to be surrounded as prisoners of war, took all their assests as well as their young daughters and sons and then ordered to kill and thrown in a well in the city of Medina, every male over 14 years old.

All Muslem historians confirm that roughly 700 POWs of that particular war who had laid down their arms and did not fight with the invading army and hoped their lives would be spared by Mohammad, their hands were tied and kept in the desert for 3 days without food and water while the wells were being made to take their bodies.
