in response to reader comment: The Flood

There used to be many giant lakes that now no longer exist. For example, the Gobi Desert used to have be a lake. Where did these giant lakes come from? A Flood would be a solution.

Geologist say that the Grand Canyon would more likely be formed by a sudden rush of water rather than millions upon millions of erosion by a small stream.

An Ice Age can cause all this.

Many fossils of animals are found in very odd forms. For example some animals are in the process of giving birth when they are suddenly killed. Other animals from many continents and regions are torn to shreds and all thrown together. A world-wide Flood would have the power to do this.

Show me a website which says this.

Many myths and folktales have a similar account to the Bible. Such as the tale of Gilgamesh (though a mythologized). They are all distorted because they were passed down by word of mouth however it is obvious that they all acknowledge a world wide flood. In fact, I say this because of personal research and heritage, the Chinese word for boat, chuan, is formed by the Chinese words for save, eight, mouth. So a boat that saved eight mouths (or people).

Excavations in Iraq have shown evidence of a flood at Shuruppak about 2,900-2,750 BCE, which extended nearly as far as the city of Kish, whose king Etana, supposedly founded the first Sumerian dynasty after the flood.

The myth of Ziusudra exists in a single copy, the fragmentary Eridu Genesis, datable by its script to the 17th century BC.

My friend, if you truly did some research, you would see that the foundation of America was made because of their faith in God and that he made us all equal. In fact, the contributions of science from the 1900's and back were made from Christians in Europe.

This is the biggest lie.... The VERY FIRST AMENDMENT of the constitution is based on the Separation of church and state. The paramount reason why the forefathers came to this country was for religious freedom. They listed it as their top goal in forming America. Matter of fact most of the fore fathers weren't even Christian, but deist, atheist and agnostic. I could site thousands of quotes which piss on this lie from Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Paine, etc. but I shouldn't need to, considering the reading of the constitution is a 4th grade curriculum requirement.

Anyway, when I said; What role does religion play in Western Society? I meant today.
