It is God's personal name in the Jewish and Christian religion. YHWH's pronunciation is unknown because the Jews feared that they might use the name of the Lord in vain. YHWH appears in passages with LORD in all caps. YHWH is believed to be pronounced Yahweh or Jehovah.

YHWH is also a name for the babylonian God.
