Islam a religion of Hatred - ??

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Let's examine the fact that whenever a 911 type situation occurs around the world, the Muslims say Islam is a religion of peace. Yet the perpetrators kill innocent people just because they are not Muslims and in the name of their Allah. In predominantly Muslim countries this practice is acceptable. Religious minorities have no rights.

Recently when we had the case when the Afghan converted to Christianity, there was a world wide fatwa (religious killing) sanctioned becasue of his conversion. Is that the sign of a peaceful religion. What about one of the most holiest men in Islam, the Ayatholla ordering a Fatwa on Salman Rushdie, whose only crime was to express his views in a book - is that a religion of peace.

Clearly the Quran states that killing a non-Muslim is perfectly justified in their religion, and more so if they commit suicide while doing so they will be rewarded in heaven with Virgins, and 72 of them?
