Islamic converts to Christianity

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Submitted by Ron (Lebanon), Feb 20, 2004 at 11:53

I hear of the alleged mass conversions of Christians to Moslems, but the fact remains that the opposite is true. 30,000 moslems converted to christianity in the ISLAMIC republic of Iran from 1990-1994, this in a country which adheres to strict Islamic SHARIAH, persecutes and murders what they call KAFIR or converts from Islam to other religions, as opposed to freedom of religion which the US and other democratic countries laud. Thousands and thousands are also converting in the regions of Kazakhastan and other ex-soviet countries.

As a Lebanese Christian, I am acquainted with dozens of converts who speak of the internal peace they found after finding christianity.
I am also acquainted with many other Moslems who despise the Islamic retro-way of life and prefer Christian friends over Moslem friends.

The fact remains that the only way Islam remains active in the Middle East and North Africa is through the ignorance of the uneducated, mostly illiterate people and the impregnable ties Islamic leaders have over their subjects. In the West Islam is spreading through deceit, most of the doctrines taught in the West are in contrast to what Islam teaches. The truth is skewed for the purpose of recruiting converts.

Face it guys, the world is now in the 21 century while Islam is not...
