Yes, show them.

I guess you're referring to the Jesus and Moses comparisons.

Let's begin.

First, Jesus and Moses were Jewish, this is a key characteristic since all prophets of God are Jewish and by being Jewish he fulfills the prophecy:

The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. (Deuteronomy 18:15 NIV) emphasis added

Moses is saying that the Prophet would be a Jew himself as you can see from the above passage.

1. There were 400 years of silence before God sent Moses to deliver the Jews just like there were 400 years of silence before God sent his Son to deliver mankind.

2. Both were born under foreign rule. Moses to the Egyptians and Jesus to the Romans.

3. Both Jesus and Moses' births were threatened by wicked kings. Both Herod and the Pharaoh commanded that young Hebrew boys be killed. Both prophets survived.

4. Both Jesus and Moses lived in Egypt.

5. Both were at first rejected by the Jews.

6. Both were accepted by Gentiles (Moses: Midianites, Jesus:all the nations).

7. Both were criticized by their families. Moses was criticized by his siblings for his Cushite wife (Numbers 12:1) and Jesus for his preaching (Mark 3:20-21).

8. Both knew God directly. All the other prophets knew Him through dreams and visions.

9. Both gave bread to the people. Jesus fed the five thousand.

10. Both were saviors. Moses saved the Israelites from bondage to the Egyptians and Jesus saved the world from bondage to Satan.

11. Moses gave manna. Jesus was the Living Bread.

12. Moses gave water from the rock. Jesus was the Living Water.

13. Both established covenants.

14. Both fasted for forty days in the wilderness (Exodus 34:28, Matthew 4:2).

15. Both were mediators of a covenant of blood. Moses to the old:

7And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

8And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words. (Exodus 24:7-8 KJV)

and Jesus to the new:

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:28 KJV) emphasis added

16. Moses started the Passover in which a lamb was slaughtered. Jesus was our Passover Lamb who paid for our sins (hence, Lamb of God).

17. Both their faces were lit with God's glory. Moses' when he was at Mount Sinai and Jesus during the Transfiguration.

18. Moses raised up a bronze snake to heal the Israelites. Jesus was raised onto a cross to heal our sins.

19. Moses sent twelve spies to search Canaan. Jesus sent twelve Apostles to witness to others.

46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. (John 5:46 KJV)

Happy New Years

May God Bless You
