To Glenn: Check your history please

Glenn you obviously need to read your history closer because it's apparent you have forgotten that it was fundamentalist Christians who established this country and its noble idea of tolerance/relgious freedom. Also keep in mind what countries through history have been the ones to establish religious freedom: Christian ones (Hindus as well of course).

It's the Islamist ones who have had clashes through the past and, as history has shown us, are more likely to begin a conflict rather than Christians (or have we all forgotten "blessed are the peacemakers" etc).

Your claim that either side will use WMD against each other AND EVERYONE ELSE speaks to many your apparent lack of knowledge of Christianity's performance through the ages and it's most basic, central tenents. (see the book, "Christianity on Trial: Arguments against anti-religious bigotry) Also keep in mind that Christianity's hands are clean of the blood of the 20th century which was caused by neo-pagans (Hitler) and atheists (Stalin, Pol Pot etc).

Religion and faith are in fact, the very miracle you cry out for.
