My dear Akbar rabina ukabirak akthar wa akthar and why do you bring up Christianity here? I'm a proud kafir and a big time mulhid... Your lesson today is about the Muslim theology 101 and islam was spread by the sword:

1. In ayat al-saif (the sword verse) or the infamous Q 9:5 your Allah declares: "iqtoloo al-mushrikeen" or "slay the polytheists" blah...balh....blah...unles they convert to Islam! I'm sure that you would agree with me dear Akbar that this is what we have in the above ayat.

2. Then the pagans of Mecca are told that unless they convert to Islam they will be killed. Your Allah is asking Abul Qasim and other Muslims to go out and _kill_ the pagans of Mecca unless they convert to Islam.

3. Then we are told by the Muslim tradition that the pagans of Mecca converted to Islam and I do not blame them for not want to be killed.

4. Now you tell me: if your Allah is really omnipotent why would he not just change the minds and hearts of the pagans and get them to convert to islam and avoid all this mess unless your Allah is not omnipotnet!

5. Are you not surprised by your Allah the so called God of the universe that he asking mere human beings to do the messy work for him and kill? Unless his is not omnipotent.

Now this is an instance where non-Muslims were converted to islam by the word and it is from your Allah'sbook!

If you do not get the above you would really be beyond help.

And no I do not care how Christianity was spread because this is not what we were talking about here.

But that is not all:

1. The last "revealed" sura is Surat al-Tauba or so we are told.

2. Based on the doctrine of al-nasikh wa al-mansukh or aborgation or Allah changing his mind: a late dispensation "kill the polytheists" would abrogate an earlier dispensation in the same subject matter and in this case the "no compulsion thing". This is straight from your Allah's book. This means that ayat al-saif or the sword verse will abrogate the "no compulsion" aya!

3. I would bet you a buck that you have no clue what was sabab al-nuzul for the "no compulsion in religion" aya. So what was it?

Now do you get it? One final point: Mahmud of Ghazni the killer quoted ayat al-saif to justify his genocide of the Hindus, your ancestors that were brutalized by the religion of the Arabs. Shame.

I will be waiting for your answer answer with great anticipation.
