If only...

Mankind will not separate himself from religion. He cannot, even if he wanted too. It is a belief system that gives mankind his reason for being. Education, sophistry, intellectualism, academics, cannot replace the sublime opiate of the religious experience. So the human person must be free to chose the belief system that calls to him. Islam is exceptional. The demand of "Submit or die", along with the canon and dogma of the Islamic belief system renders it a failed and dangerous system of belief, incompatible with modern civilization. WIth Islam, we have an opportunity to observe a belief system nearly unchanged for 1400 years.

Imagine the entire planet living under the Muhammedic canon of laws,customs, etc. Picture Iran, where "Freedom" is a alien concept , women are routinely humiliated, tortured and killed, wher eart, music, and the professions are subject to the Islamofacists.
