in response to reader comment: Learn your Bible

"You need to learn the Bible first before you criticize the holy Quran . There is violence through out the Bible from the Old testament to the New Testament. You also need to learn history. Most of the leaders in Muslim and nonMuslim countries are not adverse to their people learning Christianity. They just know based on history that Western spy organizations often use this as a way to destabilize a country. The Christian missionaries were not invited in those countries. The people only needed things after the U.S. military destroyed their country."

That's why many people were persecuted prior to the US coming. Remember that your Muslim terrorists attacked the US.

Concerning the Bible's violence. The Bible commands the Israelites to defend themselves and only allows them to attack because the enemy practiced witchcraft, sacrificing of children, prostitution, homosexuality, murder, and other wicked sins. Also the enemies were blood thirsty and when the Israelites chose not to kill them, the Israelites were eventually attacked and opressed by them. However, your God advises you to use violence to convert, oppress people, force people to believe, conquer, pillage, rape, and polygamize.

Remember, Jesus said, "Those who live by the sword, perish by the sword." And so, there is a necessary violence, only when God commands or when absolutely needed. Unlike Islam, Christianity does all it can for peace before violence. Unlike the Qu'ran, the Bible recommends a peaceful solution. Unlike Allah, God tells us to fight only when necessary.

"President Bush sees himself as walking in the footsteps of Jesus. So it is a crusade against Islam. When I mentioned the things done by other Christians in the name of their religion, you stated that they were not Christian, but when Muslims say they do things in the name of religion, it is the entire religion that is bad. Wow, how convenient!"

Again, there is a seperation of Church and State. I don't think Bush is following Jesus, he is defending his nation. Where do you see Bush posing as Jesus? That's a very farfetched statement since Jesus did not conquer in the wordly sense, but he conquered to liberate us all!

No, I am saying the religion is bad because the religion COMMANDS them to do so. Tell me, the Qu'ran supports suicidal sacrifice does it not? It allows rape does it not? Polygamy? Violence? You state examples who were not obeying the Bible's doctrine (in fact they went against it). However I'm citing the people who are not only doing it in Islam's name, but by following it's doctrine. If there is a debate about Islam and Christianity, it should be based upon the doctrine rather than it's 'followers'.

May God Bless You All
