Divisions in Christianity?

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Submitted by David S. (United States), Nov 27, 2002 at 01:48

In response to Maggie H. -- yes, there is a difference of interpretation amongst Christians as to the relationship between God and the Jews as a nation in our day. This is merely one of over 250 or so differences that we Christians debate and discuss with one another.

I love the Jews, Russians, South Africans, Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese, etc. . It is most reasonable and evident to me from both the Old Testament and New Testament that God deals with individuals as individuals, and not as members of certain races, skin colors or ethnic backgrounds. Accordingly, everyone is equal in this respect. No one receives any special treatment (either good or bad) due to their ancestry.

This can be useful in putting an end to proud thoughts or hatred by anyone of any religion, country, or race against another person that is different. ..
