The Prophet and the Messiah are the Same

Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. 20He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, "I am not the Christ.[g]"

21They asked him, "Then who are you? Are you Elijah?"
He said, "I am not."
"Are you the Prophet?"
He answered, "No." John 1:19-21

so which one is Jesus:

is he the prophet like moses or the messiah

Jesus is the Prophet and the Messiah. The Jews weren't quite sure whether or not the Messiah, the Prophet, and Elijah were different people. This is not a contradiction nor an argument against the doctrine of Christianity.

However Jesus never denied that he was the Prophet, openly said he was the Christ and the Son of God, and forgave sins. Who is the Angel of the LORD? He is Jesus Christ the Son, who is God.

Let's not try and divert the topic.

May God Bless You All
