GodfreyReader comment on item: A Christian Boom Submitted by Sohail (United Kingdom), Dec 8, 2006 at 07:23 So you think that your Christian Bible is error free, we'll see: 16and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. (Matthew 1:16) As you can see in the above it says that Jacob was the father of Joseph but in Luke 3:23 it says the following: 23Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli, That is big error in the Christian Bible. 17Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. (Matthew 1:17) This verse says that Matthew there were fourteen generations from Abraham-David but we know that his wrong becuse in 1 Chronicles 3: 11-12 and 15-16 it says this: 11 Jehoram his son, 12 Amaziah his son, 15 The sons of Josiah: 16 The successors of Jehoiakim: Matthew left out four generations in his book. The four generations were Joash, Amaziah, Azaariah Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
