Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom

Submitted by James Darlington (United States), Nov 26, 2002 at 09:20

This year, I found me a Christian Southern Belle, married her and moved from New Jersey to Alabama. There are so many Christians here, it's like another planet! In America we have a North and South of our own and exactly the same fault lines of faith. Old friends, who still travel in the ways of my old liberalism, when told I was back visiting from my new home in the South, have said, "Good place to leave," to which I've answered, "You have no clue!"

I have to agree with the coming of "A Christian Boom".

The racism with which liberals charge conservatives is ther own to a hideous degree, the divisive and hateful weapon of their own leaders' first choice. ..

My wife has insisted that I stop referring to things gone wrong or failed as having "gone South". And I don't know if I'm ready to give up hope for the North. But I think the mind and best hope for America will be found now in Dixie. I think the explosion of real Christianity world wide -- cross cultural, multi-racial, North/South -- is all glorious.

The fight against Radical Islam is unavoidable, but in the end, demographics will be incidental. It's the Truth that will prevail.
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." 2 Tim 1:5-7
