Concerning China

It is very difficult to say now how China will turn in the future. Currently the Gospel is spreading in China quite quickly although there is little reliable data about the number of Christians (estimates vary from 10 millions to 100 millions; maybe more credible estimate is 30-50 millions). But the fact is that considerable numbers of ethnic Chinese are adopting Christianity, while Islam as it seems has little appeal to them, and is in China mostly the religion of ethnic minorities.

Only when China will turn more open we will be able to fully assess the impact of Christianity on China. In my mind, Christianity has a huge potential of growth in that country, since there is a large spiritual vacuum there. Buddhism and Taoism had suffered a considerable decline during the Communist times.
