To commenter Glenn Klotz on fundamentalist dangerReader comment on item: A Christian Boom Submitted by Linas Kondratas (Lithuania), Nov 27, 2002 at 00:59 I can not yet see in which country Fundamentalist Christians could come to power --iIn some countries of Africa perhaps, but they are the least likely to aquire WMD.More real danger are Muslim and Hindu fundamentalists in Pakistan and India. Although fundamentalists are not yet in full control in either of these nations, they constitute considerrable pressure groups in both, and in India, the Prime Minister Vajpayee represents the milder version of Hindu Fundamentalism (although he is in coalition with non fundamentalist parties). Both countries already possess WMD and considerable military potential and have the intractable problem of Kashmir between them. Both Muslim and Hindu fundamentalists are virulently anti-Christian and anti-Western and at the same time both are the worst enemies of each another. Most likely of course that they would use WMD against each other and it is bad enough; but they of course could use their bombs on other targets as well.
