What is the Messiah?

Reader comment on item: A Christian Boom
in response to reader comment: Muhammad the prophet like Moses

Submitted by Servant of Christ (United States), Oct 26, 2006 at 18:38

Jesus was not the prophet like Moses because he was the Messiah.

Sohail

What does that matter? You are using the definitions of the Messiah against the prophecy. That's not how the prophecy worked!!! Now, let me ask you some questions.

What were the characteristics of the Messiah?

What was the purpose of the Messiah?

Who was the Messiah?

And finally, was there a Son of God? If so who?
